Read Together: A Community Reading Experience offers anyone interested an opportunity to participate in a group reading aloud of a dramatic piece.
It may be an adaptation of a play, a novel or an original work written especially for this program.
As people arrive at the library on the evening scheduled, they are given a script with a part clearly marked.
There are parts of all sizes and as the women usually outnumber the men in participating, women often read men's parts.
There are no auditions, no rehearsals, and all voices are welcome. Visitors who come only to listen are also welcome.
